Military Support

MSU supports our military students and families by offering funding options to help pay for programs that will help them earn professional and technical credentials that lead to industry recognized and in-demand occupations in their current area. We have a variety of approved programs for soldiers and spouses to help support professional development, continued learning, and meaningful employment upon transitioning from military service.

2024 Summer Reading Skills Programs

This summer, help your child become a confident, enthusiastic reader. Summer Reading Skills Programs are offered by Mississippi State University, Center for Continuing Education, and designed and taught by instructors from the Institute of Reading Development.

MyCAA

The My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 of tuition assistance to eligible military spouses. The scholarship assists military spouses with funding at any approved institution in pursuit or maintenance of a license, certification, or associate degree necessary to gain employment in an occupation or career field.

Ethics for Foresters

This Forestry Ethics course is designed for professional foresters who want to remain grounded in their ethical obligations to serve the public and be stewards of the land. It provides an introduction to ethics, principles of ethics, and ethics in forestry. It also includes information about different approaches to ethical decision-making and the steps to be taken in ethical decision-making.

Need Continuing Education Units?

MSU Center for Continuing Education has partnered with industry leading experts and MSU faculty/staff to offer a variety of online courses for educators.  Choose from over 100 of courses to fulfill your professional development obligations and earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards license renewal!

Most courses offer open-enrollment and are self-paced, meaning you can start at any time and finish at your own pace.  To be eligible for CEUs, you must log the minimum amount of hours and pass the final exam with a score of 70 or higher.
