MSU Center for Continuing Education has partnered with industry leading experts to offer a variety of online courses for educators. You can fulfill your professional development obligations and earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards license renewal.
MSU Center for Continuing Education is an approved CEU provider for the Mississippi Department of Education.
Online Teacher Professional Development 0.1-2.4 CEUs
Our online professional development courses are worth 0.1-2.4 CEUs with successful completion. You can choose from over 150 instructor-moderated and self-guided options.
If you choose our instructor-moderated option, lessons are released every Monday and Wednesday, over a 6 week period. Once released, lessons are accessible for the duration of the class, from anywhere, at any time. There is a discussion area for each lesson for you to post questions to the instructor. A self-guided option is available for most courses! Each lesson will take 2 hours to complete, on average. Lessons are printer friendly and downloadable. Choose from topics on Child Development, Classroom Technology, Math and Science, or Reading and Writing.
After passing the final exam, a Mississippi State University CEU certificate will be sent upon request.
The number of CEUs is determined by course’s number of hours.
After enrollment you will receive an email confirming your registration.
- The confirmation email will provide a sign-in link to My Classroom. Make note of your access dates to ensure you complete your work on time.
- Access dates for each course are visible from My Classroom.
- In order to earn a CEU certificate, students must score 70% or higher on the final exam and log a minimum of 24 hours of activity in the course. The final exam may only be taken once.
