Written Safety Programs Required by OSHA

Dates and Locations:
October 29, 2008 - Memorial Hall, Mississippi State University - Starkville, Mississippi

Fee: $200.00

How many written safety programs does OSHA require you to have?
This course will help you to answer that question with confidence. You'll be certain that you have the safety programs you need, and, just as important, you'll be sure you're not wasting valuable time and resources on the ones you don't.

Does each program contain all the information OSHA requires?
You'll leave this course knowing the answer. We'll not only help you understand the regulation but we'll provide you with a comprehensive checklist.

When does each program need to be updated?
We'll give you clear and practical guidance. In fact, we'll involve you in scenario-driven exercises that will sharpen your skills and help you "stay on top of" safety program management.

This 1-day course will address the following safety programs:
Emergency Action Plan (1910.38)
Fire Prevention Plan (1910.39)
Hazard Communication Program (1910.1200)
Respiratory Protection Program (1910.134)
Permit-required Confined Space Program (1910.146)
nergy Control (Lockout/Tagout) Program (1910.147)
Hearing Conservation Program (1910.95)
Emergency Response Program (1910.120)
Exposure Control Plan (Bloodborne Pathogens) (1910.1030)
Other written safety programs required by OSHA will be identified and their applicability will be discussed.

Each participant will receive:

A copy of each applicable OSHA regulation
A sample program for each of the above topics
A checklist for each OSHA-required program
This course is essential for newly appointed safety directors. It is also a rare opportunity for managers with safety responsibilities and members of the safety committee.
