The MSU President's Commission on the Status of Minorities will host the 2012 Diversity Conference on the campus of Mississippi State University. The Diversity Conference will be held March 1-2, 2012 in the Colvard Student Union.
"Enhancing Diversity in Higher Education: Undergraduate Retention, and Recruitment of Graduate Students, Faculty and Staff” will offer ideas and explore meaningful ways of enhancing diversity in our institutions of higher learning. The conference is designed to draw attention to the opportunities identified in the theme; to discuss best practices for accomplishing diversity goals in reference to those opportunities; and, to offer general recommendations for enhancing diversity initiatives.
Conference participants will be inspired by the powerful words of conference keynote speaker, Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, III, of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. The conference also offers an impressive schedule of moderators and panelists from several universities and organizations.
